The organization has taken on several expansion projects over the last 2 years and doubled their operation in the 12–24-month period! With this growing demand and workload, the organization is rapidly increasing its headcount and as such, is currently looking to hire for a Senior Accountant position! You will be part of a large team (8+ staff) and report to the Controller and CFO. This position will work full time with options to work 1-2 days from home (per the company policy). Being part of this organization means: Being part of work hard/ play hard work environment Joining a long tenured and stable organization Taking on a highly competitive and demanding position Thinking outside the box to come up with creative solutions  Participating in projects outside your day-to-day work Using your Excel & tech-savvy skills to produce smart reporting tools (to increase efficiency in your role) Working in a dynamic & deadline oriented/ driven environment This position will be responsible for: -         Preparing Consolidated Financial Statements -         Analysis of Payroll, Benefits & Insurance -         Insurance renewal and administration -         Audit working paper -         Maintaining parallel Accounting Systems -         Maintaining monthly schedules and posting monthly journal entries for depreciation, leases, -         ROU, incentive plans, foreign exchange re-evaluation, intercompany transactions, elimination entries, and management fee charge out -         Preparing quarterly audit schedules -         Reviewing and explaining variances to budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis -         Supporting the preparation of all public company filings including financial statements, note, financial statements, MD& A and supporting documents and schedules -         Preparing internal and external ad hoc reports and financial analysis as required -         Supporting compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Job Requirements: An ideal candidate will have: -         2+ Years working at a similar level (senior accounting level) in a large/ mid-size organization  -         Experience with consolidations, intercompany transactions internal controls and IFRS will be an asset -         Experience with audit/ working in a Big 4 firm will be an asset -         CPA designation -         Strong Excel Skills are required – proficient with VLOOKUP’s / PivotTables (Macros will be an asset) -         Asset: ERP system experience + Experience within similar industry will be preferred (manufacturing/ distribution/ construction) + experience with a large multi entity environment -         Strong communication skills If you are interested in pursuing the role, please submit your application to job number: 05150-0012317162.
