With a variety of residential and commercial projects under way,   Betts Electric is currently looking to add several career-oriented   Electricians   to their Kelowna and Penticton teams.   They are looking for experienced Red Seal Certified Electricians to join their team. They are happy to consider   2 nd   year apprentices with 3000+ job hours as well.   They anticipate offering the successful candidate a base salary of approximately $30-$40/hour dependent upon previous experience.   In addition to the base salary, our client offers comprehensive extended health, vision & dental care benefits; retirement savings plan; your choice of accruing vacation or having it paid out on each pay; tool allowance; and an hourly pay premium for employees with active FSR B certification.     This position is full-time at the project site with working hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The daily hours may be adjusted based on seasonal requirements.     Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings; Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams; Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and circuitry for lighting, power distribution, and other electrical systems; Install and connect switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures; Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements; Ensure compliance with all local and national electrical codes and regulations; Work collaboratively with construction team members to coordinate electrical installations with other trades; Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment; Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects; Provide guidance and training to apprentices and junior electricians as needed; Other duties and responsibilities as required.   Requirements: Red Seal Construction Electrician designation or 2nd year apprentice with 3000+ job hours required. Field Safety Representative Class B classification or willingness to obtain is preferred. Experience as an electrician in the construction industry (residential, commercial, multi-family residence) preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn and collaborate with team members. Highly organized with the ability to maintain focus and attention to details. Exceptional time management skills to meet project deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
