Accounts Payable Clerk in Hamilton Do you have experience with accounts payable? Are you someone who is experienced with high-volume invoicing? Would you like to work within a fun, team-working environment? If so, this is the opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk within the Hamilton area. This fully in-office, full-time permanent position will involve entering 200-3250 AP invoices daily, processing miscellaneous invoices, processing AP cheques and spreadsheets, and coding as required, as well as other accounts payable duties. The ideal candidate will have more than 1 year of experience within Accounts Payable, is highly organized, detail-oriented with strong communication skills and is experienced with various ERP software and intermediate Excel skills. Advantages - $47k - $52k per annum based on Experience - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm - Fully In office Role - 2 weeks’ vacation - Health Plan benefits - Great location in Hamilton - Strong culture within - Working with an established organization Responsibilities - Matching a HIGH volume of invoices to packing slips and entering invoices for different business units/divisions. - Coding of non‐purchase order invoices, getting required approval and entering invoices. - Identifying and or resolving accounts payable discrepancies with external or internal vendors. - Working with the Purchasing Department to resolve PO pricing or quantity discrepancies. - Process employee expense reports. - Prepare and perform cheque runs including selecting invoices for payment, running the cheques, getting signatures, mailing & filing. - Prepare and get approval for electronic payments. - Processing credit card statements including entering invoices and reconciling payments to the bank. - Review/reconcile vendor statements and follow up with vendors for missing documentation. - Vendor maintenance as required (term, address, name changes, payment method, bank info) - Answering calls & e‐mails from vendors within a reasonable timeframe - Provide support documentation as requested internally - Prepare month-end accrual spreadsheet. - Provide documentation as required for audits. - Other administrative duties as required Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years of experience with Accounts Payable - Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance is an asset - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a high-volume department - Skilled with various software: ERP and Excel - Must have a strong attention to detail - Strong ability to multitask - Strong Organizational skills - Strong Communication skills Summary If you see yourself in this role and want to learn more about this opportunity, then we would like to meet with you!
