Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking an Assistant Controller  for our client in Langley. Our client has deep roots in the community and has built an excellent reputation.Responsibilities:Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes/ team, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions related to construction projects.Reconcile project costs, track expenses, and analyze budget variances to ensure cost-effectiveness and project profitability.Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to present accurate project financial statuses.Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities for ongoing and upcoming projects, supporting project managers in financial planning.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific requirements.Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures, contributing to the preparation of financial reports and audits.Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.Support for Controller when needed. Qualifications:Education in Finance/ Accounting + CPA designation required. Proven supervisory and leadership experience required. Construction/ Real Estate experience preferred.  Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment. Strong attention to detail and  time management. For more current job opportunities, Follow MatchBox at linkedin.com/company/matchbox-recruitment/ _________________________ About MatchBoxHeadquartered in downtown Vancouver and serving clients nationally, MatchBox is one of the leading recruitment and solutions firms that specializes in the fields of IT & Technology, Engineering & Technical, Real Estate & Construction, and Accounting & Finance.
