Perform managerial responsibilities and recommends related actions, for example, hiring, disciplinary actions, PMP, training and certifications, work assignments, scheduling vacation, monitoring attendance. Assure strategic initiatives are implemented that support the long-term objectives of the business unit and govern the cross-functional processes and interactions that assure best performance and to meet all objectives. Ensuring PCRs (Product Change Request) schedule are met and Request for change are driven for operations. Providing support to the operation for all matters related to methods operation. The functions that will report to you are as follows: Andon teams, Methods Support, Methods Configuration, FTC. Identifying and implementing continuous improvements to the business operations is also an essential role in optimizing performance across the value chain, both functionally and technically. Competitive advantages and achievement of financial objectives are attained through the strategic intervention of the PMO Director, influencing the daily operational activity. The Director will also provide structured reviews, accountability and management of critical Andon events, stakeholders, or suppliers, providing the proactive ability to meet commitments, and provide critical knowledge and data to allow the Preflight operation to effectively define overall strategy and direction. The Director will be the joint leader of all Corrective action activities with the Quality Director. You will also be responsible for all aspects of managing resources within your group, including performance reviews, BOE (Bombardier Operational Excellence), and development & training of the team to maintain the level of expertise required to support the business unit. How to thrive in this role? You hold a University Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or equivalent. You have ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of professional manufacturing, engineering experience with a technical background. You have experience managing P&L and your departments finances and budget. You have demonstrated strong leadership and team building skills, coupled with strong analytical skills. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You have a presence and maturity to quickly gain the confidence and respect of senior management. You are self-motivated and can efficiently organize and prioritize objectives and projects. You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, and contractors. You possess presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management. You are a results-driven leader who is outgoing and persuasive, who is accustomed to working with senior management and can effectively relate to shop floor issues. You have experience developing teams, including individual development, and improving teamwork across an organization.
