Architectural Technologist

Iredale Architecture is seeking an experienced mid-career Technologist to join our collaborative team in Vancouver and work within our Educational Studio. The ideal candidate will be a registered Architectural Technologist (or nearing registration) with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and will be able to function autonomously, offering vital technical support to our Design team. This includes extensive experience preparing and assembling drawing packages from DP, BP and to IFC with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is non-negotiable.

The candidate will have the following required skills and expertise:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience with a British Columbia Architectural firm.
  • Completion of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program in a professionally recognized institution.
  • Extensive experience in building technology working independently to prepare design and construction drawings.
  • Experience in a variety of project types. Educational project experience is non-negotiable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tenant improvement design and construction administration.
  • Familiarity with municipal approvals processes.
  • Knowledge of the BC Building Code Part 3 and ASHRAE 90.1.
  • High level of proficiency in Revit and Photoshop.
  • Understanding sustainable design considerations.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with Clients, Consultants, and Municipal Staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in English.
