Packaging Machine Operator

We are looking for a full-time Giro Operator to join in the Langley Production Plant and warehouse. The plant is located in Langley, close to the Movie theatre, with easy access to transit. The types of products you will be exposed will mainly consist of fruits and vegetables. You will make a great fit if you have a background in food production or have worked in a greenhouse environment. What you need to know: This is a full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity Location: Langley, BC Schedule: Candidate will be flexible with shift timings and able to support in OT when needed Shift time: 6:00AM-2:30PM Salary: $$20-25/H (based on experience) You are looking for a long-term career opportunity, can meet the shift, schedule, and job requirements This is a Transit Accessible Location You are legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia and are located near the Langley region Advantages - This is a growing company with opportunities for promotions and improvement - Salary of $20- $22 an hour + 4% vacation pay - This is a full-time permanent opportunity - Easy access to transit and a location close to retail outlets, food centers, and a major entertainment hub (movie theater) - You almost always work in a team setting - Located in Langley, BC Responsibilities - Working with Giro machine to package produce, ensuring that 100% accuracy and quality goals are met - Operating forklift to bring in product from the cooler and dropping it off by the machine for the product to get bagged - Put away product that has been completed, wrap pallets, and label pallets. - Provide directions to staff while packing on the line - Maintain organized space during production – collecting produce, dispose of trash, moving boxes and pallets - Complete all individual and team work while staying on-pace during the day and finishing on-time - Other projects and responsibilities as may arise Qualifications - Experience with packaging machines would be an asset - Must be mechanically inclined/understand operations of mechanical equipment - Experience with operating SDCB forklift and pallet jacks - Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills - Must have basic understanding of Mathematics - Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude - Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines - Ability to work in high-paced environment - Good time management skills - Highly organized; knowledgeable and follow the company’s policies and procedures - Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude - Ability to work in a high-paced environment - Able to work OT and weekends if needed - A reliable means of transportation is an asset - You can pass a Criminal Background Check - You can provide minimum 2 references from previous employers Summary If this sounds like the perfect job opportunity for you, look no further!
