Our passion for our craft fuels every project we touch.JOB OVERVIEWResponsible to the Fleet Manager/Line Maintenance for the operation of the Vancouver facility. Includes the servicing, inspection and maintenance of (KFACL) fleet aircraft (and third-party aircraft) in accordance with the company schedule and directives from Kelowna.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManagement & Supervision of staff at YVR Base, including: Line Maintenance Operations (Fleet & Customer)Heavy Maintenance OperationsMaterials Management OperationsFacilities Ensure safe work and risk management practices, policies and procedures are followed including compliance with CARS.Support and promote the SMS Program.COMPETENCIESLeadershipMentors, advises, and consults others with their annual planning, budgeting and operating plans. Leads organizational initiatives of safety and risk management.BusinessCoordinate planned maintenance for all aircraft at YVRMonitor task progression Ensures paperwork and ERP (M3) data entry is completed in a timely and accurate mannerAssist the planning department with task planningInvolved in facility maintenance and upgradesAssesses tooling requirements and involved in tooling purchasesDevelops Risk Reduction Plans (RRP’s) Prepare for audits and respond to audit results (ISO, TC, RMS, etc.)A member of the Reliability Review Board which meets on a monthly basis.Ensures care and custody of equipment, tools, publications, etc.Ensures facility housekeepingTo identify, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to quality problems through designated channels.CustomerResponsible to manage customer representative requirements and find solutions to outstanding issuesResponsible for promoting good customer public relationsAssist with customer requests, evaluate their needs and concernsPeopleTo assign and review tasks with base staff Designates manpower allocation Establishes consistency for employee disciplinary issuesWorks with the Training & QA departments to request courses for employees and review course requirementsREQUIREMENTS Valid Transport Canada A.M.E.
