Title :Program Coordinator - Respite and Residential - Permanent Full-Time

Location : Hope Home (Ariss, Ontario area)

Hours : 80 hours biweekly

Job Summary : The Coordinator - Respite and Residential works as a professional within a clinical multidisciplinary team that follows a biopsychosocial model of intervention for children, youth and adults with complex developmental, physical and emotional challenges. This position involves directly supporting individuals as well as providing administrative supports to the program and Manager. This includes tasks such as scheduling staff, facilitating daily operations and programming in accordance with the supported individuals, Individual Service Plan (ISP), maintaining accurate client records, completing routine reports/documentation, communicating with family/guardians, and ensuring budget compliance. Coordinators will also be instrumental in on-boarding new employees and providing orientation and/or training to all staff.

Special Hiring Considerations /Qualifications**:

  • University or College Degree/Diploma in relevant field.
  • 2-5 years experience working with people with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, and complex behavioural needs.
  • Valid G License
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI ) certification an asset
  • Must be able to provide 2 professional/academic references at the time of the interview.
  • Our current wage rates are now enhanced by the Ontario $3.00/hour temporary wage increase available to eligible home & community care positions.
