JOB DESCRIPTION Registered Veterinary TechnicianDepartment: EmergencyLocation: Victoria, Contact Cathy Cavanagh at to discuss this opportunity or to schedule a tour of our brand-new hospital!Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada is welcoming part and full-time Emergency Department Veterinary Technicians to join our dedicated pet healthcare teamAs our ideal Candidate, you have:Completed a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program (eligible to register) OR years of relevant experience in an ER Veterinary Technician role A strong knowledge and understanding of normal vital parameters, and the ability to recognize changes and or abnormalities.Strong mathematics skills (drug dose calculations, CRI’s, dilutions)Excellent communication skills, computer and phone skillsA strong desire to learn and to excel within the professionA willingness to enhance your technical skills; anesthesia, CRI’s, advanced nursing proceduresThe ability to stay calm to recognize and establish priorities and execute patient triage at all times.Excellent organizational skillsThe ability to work with little or no supervision when necessary as well as the ability to work as part of a teamA high level of professionalismCompensation: $ to $ per hour.
