AtkinsRéalis is dedicated in engineering a better future for our planet and its people.We are seeking a Trackwork Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance Team and the successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Managers. The Maintenance Supervisor supervises the activities of technicians and contractors for inspections, maintenance, repairs, and new installations of railway systems. The Supervisor also schedules and co-ordinates special projects, ensuring that priority is given to failures affecting service, and checks that work carried out is done according to specification, quality, and safety requirements.Location: Richmond, BC (Onsite Work)Your role within the team: Responsible for the maintenance of trackwork assets and guideway infrastructure.Supervise service contractors’ and technicians’ work and ensure the work is performed according to safe work plans, schedule and is completed to required standards. Ensure all necessary tools and materials for scheduled maintenance requirements and special projects are available in stock and kitted for work assignments. Prepare work schedules and assign special projects and repairs by priority on a daily basis.Manage projects adhering to work schedules and budgets.Respond to emergency incidents and prepare reports.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, safe work practices and coordinate monthly departmental safety meetings.Assist with the implementation of policies, procedures, and programs, both routine and emergency, relating to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair and new installations of railway systems and provide feedback on status of work and effectiveness.Participate in the recruitment process by reviewing applications and resumes, short-listing candidates, interviewing candidates, and making recommendations.Manage performance and competency levels of individuals and team.Participate in incident investigations and implement necessary corrective actions as required.Develop and deliver various on-the-job and classroom training sessions.Perform relief duties for the Manager as required.Other duties as assigned.Why pick AtkinsRéalis as an employer? Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.The ideal candidate: Degree or technical diploma in a related field; or a red-seal certification in a related field; or experience as a Track Supervisor or Track Inspector.At least eight years of experience in a maintenance environment.A combination of education and experience may also be considered.Required – Prioritization of workload to minimize asset and equipment failures, and completion of planned scheduled work.Able to participate in a rotational on-call program and work shifts.Must be able to work night shifts (2000-0600). This role is expected to work 50% night shift.Must be able to work in an outdoor night environment year-round.Preferred – Strong leader and motivator of the maintenance team to consistently deliver objectives.An achiever with track record of high performance of a unionized maintenance team in meeting the program objectives set in accordance with the daily and Annual Maintenance Plan, and the prioritization of corrective works.Experience in a variety of technical fields.Are you up for this challenge?
