Associate Lawyer - Estate Litigation (Junior to Mid-Level)

Our client is now actively in the market for junior to mid-level Estate Litigation Associate to join their group of experts in their beautifully renovated new office space.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review, evaluate and advise clients on legal matters related to estates, trusts, probate, and related litigation.
  • Draft legal pleadings, memoranda, and other documents required for litigation proceedings.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution procedures.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, administrators, and other relevant parties.
  • Monitor changes in estate, trust, and probate laws to ensure that clients are receiving relevant and current legal advice.
  • Client development and engaging in marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • 1- 5 years of post-call litigation experience from a recognized Canadian law firm. Preference will be given to those candidates with Estate Litigation experience; however, we will also consider candidates with a background in general litigation and family law, who have a strong desire to practice in Estate Litigation
  • Willingness and the desire to take initiative
  • Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills
  • Client service orientated with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team orientated
  • Must be qualified to practice law in Canada
