B338 5th Class Power Engineer

Growing transportation company located west of Calmar, is seeking a safety conscience experienced 5th Class Power Engineer. The 5th Class Power Engineer/General Labourer at Liquids Transloading Ltd. is responsible for maintaining and servicing HVAC, boiler, and heating units to ensure the efficient operation of the facility’s equipment. This role supports the smooth operation of transloading activities by performing both power engineering tasks and general labour duties. The position requires technical expertise in mechanical systems, while also assisting with labour duties such as loading, site preparation, and equipment upkeep. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Conduct maintenance and general repairs of HVAC, boiler, and heating systems. - Perform routine inspections and diagnostics of mechanical systems. - Support site operations by assisting with loading/unloading materials. - Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment, ensuring safe operation. - Maintain clean and organized work environments. - Adhere to all company safety protocols and policies. - Document equipment status, repairs, and maintenance actions. - Provide general labour support as required for site operations. - Perform other related duties as required. - Train and mentor apprentices. Qualifications - 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate. - 1 years of experience in power engineering or HVAC/boiler maintenance. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions. - Experience working with mechanical systems an asset. Working Conditions - The standard workweek for this position is 40 hours. - Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project needs. - May require extended standing, bending, and lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds. - Wear all required personal protective equipment. - Regular exposure to mechanical and environmental hazards, requiring compliance with safety protocols.
