Description du poste :Giant Tiger is looking for a fully Bilingual Human Resources Advisor to support a section of our Quebec and Ontario stores!This is a hybrid role that requires travel to our stores, so the ideal candidate would be located in or near Quebec or Ottawa. When not traveling to our stores, the Bilingual HR Advisorwill follow Giant Tiger's Work Your Way policy; and will choose to work where they work best. Flexible hybrid work arrangement;Profit SharinHealth/Dental/Vision benefits; 24/7 access to onsite gym; Full Service CafeteriaAs an important member of the Store Human Resources team and reporting to the Regional Human Resources Business Partner, the Bilingual HR Advisoris responsible for supporting the Store Human Resources function, including all aspects of employee and labour relations, talent management and Human Resources Best Practices. The HR Advisor conducts regular store visits to review Store engagement and identifies any employee relations issues and escalates/resolves those issues working in partnership with the Regional Support Managers. The HR Advisor acts as a coach to the store owners on engagement, retention, performance management talent management and policies and procedures.Bilingual HR Advisor, Role Accountabilities:Conduct coaching of managers and supervisors on all employee relations issues: performance matters including progressive discipline, terminations, and other issues related to policy and provincial employment lawExecute business unit visits (changeover and engagement) working collaboratively with business unitConduct discrimination and harassment investigations, providing recommendations and documentation to the business unit.Where required inform the business unit on labour and employee relations issues to mitigate risk (3rd party and litigation)Conduct HR leadership training for business unit on Giant Tiger Talent Development ProgramsComplete administrative activities for the business unit and reinforce the self-service modelBilingual HR Advisor, Key Qualifications:Bilingualism English and French is required (expert level, conversational French skills)Post Secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline; or equivalent experienceA minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR roleSkilled in developing positive working relationships with business leaders1+ years experience coaching and advising managersExcellent attention to detail with written work, with a proven ability to effectively communicate in a positive way with internal business unitsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate provincial employment law, policies and regulationsRelevant experience in conducting ER investigations, including Harassment investigations and supporting MOL & Human Rights claimsValid driver's licence and personal vehicleBilingual HR Advisor, AssetsHR designation such as CHRP or CHRL, either in progress or completedCollege or University degree in business, HR or a related subject, either in progress or completedStrong computer skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power PointExperience working in Workday
