You learn how to use new tools easily and you know how to independently seek out effective solutions to issues Accountable: You take personal responsibility for the success or failure of your team About the role: Yourgene Health Vancouver is seeking a keen and technically proficient manufacturer to aid with the assembly of our consumable product kits. Our assembly lines consist of several pieces of automation equipment designed and assembled in-house, which the successful candidate will learn to operate independently. You will be taught to diligently complete documentation for Yourgene’s ISO 9001 QMS. This individual will report to the lab manager and will be an integral part of Yourgene’s small, multidisciplinary team. Day to day duties will require regular interactions with lab technicians, engineers, other assemblers, and logistics. This person will also be part of a larger community within Yourgene Health and will receive many opportunities for mentorship, advancement, and growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the lab manager and others on the team and will be expected to deliver on the following key objectives: Develop skill and dexterity on the manufacture and QC of our consumable kit offerings Show ability to deliver great quality work with good efficiency Comply with reporting and documentation requirements under ISO 9001 Required technical competencies: Familiarity with good practices for working in a clean and air-conditioned setting Direct experience with manufacturing and/or assembly functions Excellent ability to manipulate and assemble fine or delicate mechanical assemblies Demonstrated ability to learn to work with new equipment Commitment to producing outstanding quality while working independently Experience in a production environment Experience with ISO 9001 or 13485 Quality Management Systems (beneficial but not required) Essential candidate prerequisites: A high school diploma or diploma in a related field Experience in an assembly work environment Can work out of our physical office in Port Coquitlam, BC This position is full time, 6-month contract and to start ASAP.
