Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the work for Top Aces (TA) aircraft maintenance technicians and maintenance support staff assigned to scheduled flying operationsEnsure that all aircraft maintenance technicians and maintenance support staff adhere to the Company MPM/MCM, Transport Canada regulations, DND regulations, TAI Flight Safety program, TAI Health and Safety program and QMS processesEnsure availability of TA aircraft to meet, on a daily basis, operational requirementsDevelop and maintain a Technician Manpower Schedule for local operationsAttend bi-weekly operation briefs to review the latest flying schedule and plan for new taskings or changes to existing deployments for optimum use of resource assignmentsMonitor maintenance plans on a regular basis to close all aircraft deferred and minor snags with a reasonable time frameEnsure good communication and strong relationships with local FBO authorities and coordination teamsEnsure EHS protocols are followed through out the baseClosely follow-up on AOG and Critical Logistics requirements and direct alternate plans if required during aircraft maintenance to ensure availability of aircraft to meet Flight Operational requirements on a daily basisApprove Overtime requests for Top Aces flying operationsTravel as required to MOBs and Deployed Areas of Operations as required by the CATS manpower scheduler or the DoMAct as the Maintenance Duty Officer (MDO), after regular working hours, per the CATS manpower scheduler scheduleAct as the local designated official (DO) for the Controlled Goods ProgramSupport strategic development projects, as required by the DoM or VP, CATSMaintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Minimum five (5) years of experience with flight and maintenance operations;Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team in a diversified and changing high tempo environmentPositive, professional attitude, identify and resolve issues proactively with minimal supervisionHold a valid Transport Canada M2 license, Hold ACA on Alpha Jet, is an assetKnowledge of RAMCO ERP, an assetProven track record to support and lead safe operations: OHS, Flight Safety, procedures, Human Factors etc.Good customer service skillsGood time management and organizational skillsKnowledge of Airworthiness processes with Transport Canada and DND. Controlled Goods Program, Security Management, ITAR, Military and civilian maintenance. Quality Control an asset;General knowledge of business operations and local legislation.
