YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: Plan and execute safety management programs, ensuring their successful implementation. Take responsibility for investigating incidents and accidents, ensuring prompt development of corrective and preventive action plans. Develop strategic plans for team activities, including health and safety strategies, to achieve agreed-upon targets and effective planning. Oversee employee compensation and rehabilitation processes. Direct and manage the performance and development of team members. Delegate authority and responsibility to the team, while providing supervision, accountability, and review. Evaluate health and safety practices and procedures to assess risk and compliance with legal requirements. Advise management on occupational health and safety best practices, contributing to the effective implementation of relevant human resources policies, procedures, and programs. Conduct research on changes in environmental regulations and policies to ensure compliance, and ensure managers on sites enforce them. Review existing policies and procedures to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness. Perform safety audits and physically inspect work areas and job sites when necessary to identify potential safety issues. Manage expenses to align with agreed-upon budgetary controls. Collaborate closely with CNESST (Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail). Cultivate a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement. Develop relevant tools and performance indicators to monitor and enhance occupational health and safety practices.
