The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Provost Health Centre, you will have the opportunity to work to full scope of practice and develop your nursing skills in multiple areas, while working within a multidisciplinary team to provide family focused nursing care. The Town of Provost is a small but busy town located in east central Alberta, 19 km west of the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Provost is maintaining a brand-new Arena and sports facility as well as a Recreation and Culture Centre, plus several other facilities including ball diamonds, tennis courts and campgrounds. There is an incredible variety of sports activities, including a nine-hole golf course, a skateboard park, badminton, basketball, bowling, curling, dance, figure skating, hockey, soccer, softball, swimming and Tae kwon do. Life in Provost can be as busy or relaxed as you want it to be. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). As required. One-year recent Acute Care experience.
