Registered Early Childhood Educator/ECA (FT)

We are looking for a full-time Registered Early Childhood Educator or ECA to join our Tiny Hoppers team in Milton. A successful candidate should be able to display strong communication skills, kind and gentle when interacting with children, and use creative ways when engaged with children. Requirements: Standard First Aid and CPR-C Recent Vulnerable Sector check Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of ECEs (if RECE) Up to date immunization record Good communication (oral and written) and organizational skills  Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel Must be able to plan and assist with daily program and activities following an emergent curriculum  Must be able to maintain proper documentation Food Handlers certificate (preferred) Responsibilities: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children under 6 that promote physical, cognitive and social development Complete daily observations of children and prepare documentation of their learning Communicate with families to foster an open and collaborative relationship and actively encouraging their participation in the program Assist children with mealtimes, naptime, toileting and dressing Work collaboratively with Tiny Hoppers staff  Adhere to Halton Region and Ministry of Education regulations Ensure children are engaged in activities, playing safely and having fun!  Benefits: Health and dental benefits  Life and long-term disability insurance Paid vacation and personal days  Competitive salary  Professional development opportunities
