Senior accounting technician

Our Client is seeking for a Senior Accountant Technician They are a company that has been operating for over 45 years in the retail industry as a general contractor in both private and public sectors values individuality, innovation, and teamwork. Advantages 3 Weeks vacation Collective insurance Accessible Gym for employees Great dynamic work environment Collective insurance plan from day 1 Responsibilities Perform month end close of General Ledger Analyze general ledger accounts and report variances Perform monthly invoicing /chargebacks to affiliated companies Responsible for coding and payment of professional fees and donations Prepare monthly and quarterly reports Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure proper GL coding of invoices Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and provide information to external auditors Assist in annual preparation of budgets Monitor budgets as well as budget control reports on a monthly basis Ensure compliance with government sales tax (GST/QST) requirements Prepare bank reconciliations, analysis and corrections Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information Assist with development of accounting policies Assist with automation of accounting procedures Maintain and update electronic and paper filing system as needed Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as a senior accountant responsible for the full accounting cycle Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written) Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Knowledge of J.D.
