POSITION:                  FISHERIES REEF NET RESTORATION PROJECT MANAGER HOUR OF WORK:       FULL-TIME, PERMANENT (35 HRS/.WEEK) REPORTS TO:            FISHERIES MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY: Tsawout First Nation (TFN) Fisheries Department is actively seeking qualified individuals for the positions of Reef Net Restoration Project Manager. As part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to the revitalization of reef net harvesting while managing various project activities in collaboration with other First Nation partners. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring program stability, effective management, and cost-efficiency within the Tsawout First Nation Fisheries Department.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute a Project Charter and annual work plans. Facilitate internal and external engagement with members, First Nations, and stakeholders. Create and distribute outreach materials. Manage project activities for the revitalization of reef net harvesting. Collaborate with other First Nation partners as required. Ensure effective program management and cost-effectiveness within the Reef Net Revitalization Project. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Strong project management skills. Excellent communication and outreach abilities. Proficiency in administrative tasks. Ability to work collaboratively with various First Nation partners and stakeholders. Knowledge of fisheries and Fist Nations initiatives is an asset.
