Oversees shop facilities and service operations by ensuring operational requirements are met by supervising, coordinating and scheduling the activities of trades people . Prepares service quotes for internal and external customers. Supervisory responsibilities. Support and develop staff by providing or arranging training on assigned tasks and tracking their training. Review schedules to ensure trades people are allocated correctly and each department has the support they require. Ensure department activities are completed in compliance with safety, health and environmental standards, company rules and other applicable legislation . Customer service. Assist customers by providing service information and by resolving service problems. Follow up to ensure resolution. Serve as a back up to the Service Manager with the customer. Prepares reports and quotations as required. Orders and organizes field repair parts, including PM services and Komatsu Care Programs. Organizes Komatsu mandatory Field Campaigns in shop and in the field. Administration. Administration of all Work Orders. Ensures correct and sufficient inventory is ordered to match large work orders. Perform random audits to check processes. Qualifications: Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada. Red Seal Journeyman level certification. A thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of Komatsu and other OEM equipment. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified Heavy Equipment Technician, Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Supervisory experience in an industrial environment is a requirement. Ability to oversee and coordinate a large shop operation. Knowledge of OH&S acts and regulations and equipment inspection requirements.
