We are offering advancements through multiple channels – Contractor/Trade Sales, Distribution, and Head Office Job description: Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Store Manager occupies a critical position enabling the organization to achieve its objectives. Having a strong background in management, the desired candidate is ambitious, eager for success and results, has strong sales experience, the ability to maintain and coordinate daily operations (cash registers, sales, office, inventory and warehouse) and ultimately demonstrates a passion for the tool industry. Demonstrating a structured management style, the store manager leads a team that excels in the execution of all tasks according to the procedures established by the head office. The candidate is responsible for the financial results of his branch as well as the continued net growth. The quality of customer service and the customer experience is his first priority. This role also involves continuous training in terms of product knowledge and marketing strategies, but also special attention to the immediate market in order to maintain its position in the market. Also, the store manager must demonstrate leadership towards his team in order to recruit, train, stimulate and develop a robust team dealing with daily tasks. The store manager also excels at mentoring his team. You will also be comfortable managing a high-traffic retail store of approximately 15,000 sq.ft. and containing nearly 8,000 products. Main responsibilities: Demonstrate daily leadership skills to build and support the store team (cashiers, sales, inventory, stock, warehouse, etc.) Lead daily walks on the floor and Warehouse with area managers and area owners to assure all standards are followed (In stock, price and promotions are tagged properly, assure daily action plan is ready for the team, train to improve team knowledge and assure cleanliness for customers) Sales oriented, he has the ability to develop relationship with customers and supplier representatives. Interview candidates to find the best fits with our company to build a strong team including job search and managing our recruiting management system. Can organize daily clerical tasks effectively (Payworks forms, hiring forms, statutory change, e-mails, action plans) Easy to work with and collaborative with head office and other stores to facilitate efficient communication. Audit company standards to assure procedures conformity in office administration, Warehouse and Inventory management. Prepare job postings periodically. Overseas area managers scheduling to align with business needs. Follow team performance management with area managers. Do monthly benchmark to stay ahead of the competition. Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of retail store management (management of all departments, warehouse, sales, cash register, merchandising, etc.). Minimum 3 years in the tool industry or other industry related to tooling. Must have delivered concrete results in sales, merchandising and marketing. Must have delivered concrete results in terms of sales growth and profitability. Must have the ability to work in an organized manner, have a work ethic where judgment, logical reasoning and initiative are advocated and used daily. Must have a vast product knowledge and have the ability to transmit it to his team if not use it backwards in a sales context with major accounts. Must know how to counter theft and prevent it. Must be able to adapt to changes, delays and unforeseen events in a positive and professional manner. Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to achieve one or more objectives in a context of short deadlines. Training in management or business administration an asset. Must have a valid driver's license. The ideal candidate has the ability to travel to Canada and the United States for tool industry conventions, for quarterly meetings (British Columbia) or otherwise as the role requires. This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours/week, the 5-day work week includes 2 days off per week, Sunday (closed) and one day during the week.
