Services include but are not limited to providing day-to-day support, information and referrals including court supports and court updates to victims. This position will determine appropriate resources and provide intervention and other information to victims of crime as needed. The Case Worker provides direct services to victims and acts as a liaison or a link between victims of crime, the RCMP and the Crown Prosecutor’s office. The Victim Case Worker is the first point of continuous contact and will ensure that victims of crime have the assistance they need to access supports.

The Victim Case Worker provides a critical infrastructure to gather up-to-date information, ensuring the varied needs of victims are addressed and responded to in a coordinated, focused, accurate, trauma-informed and culturally safe manner.

The Victim Case Worker will provide accurate statistic, written reports and information as identified and requested to the Executive Director.

The Case Worker position are designed to address the unique needs and issues of all victims of crime including victims of serious, high risk and violent crime.

The Case Worker will perform other additional duties as directed by the

Executive Director.

Salary : $26.85-$28.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wetaskiwin, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience :

  • Justice related: 2 years (preferred)
