About the Role

As the Coordinator, Talent Acquisition, you will report to the Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition and join the Brookfield Renewable Business Services Group. You will have a crucial role in supporting the talent acquisition initiatives of the organization.

Your main responsibilities will include providing administrative assistance to our recruiting team, such as preparing job postings, offer letters, and maintaining candidate databases and trackers. You will also have familiarity with various recruiting strategies, such as sourcing, screening, and interviewing methods. Your contributions will help us ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process and attract and retain high-performing employees who align with our company’s vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit job requisitions in HRIS for approvals;
  • Draft, update and post jobs on multiple sites;
  • Prepare offer letters;
  • Maintain new hire files and update recruitment trackers;
  • Activate and track background and reference checks;
  • Coordinate interviews, contact applicants, and hiring managers;
  • Prepare reports on new hire metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire);
  • Assist with new hire onboarding (e.g. preparing necessary paperwork and scheduling trainings);
  • Provide administrative support for the student coop program, including student events;
  • Participate in job fairs;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (verbal & written);
  • Work experience as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, Assistant or Administrator;
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a fast paced administrative role;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related field;
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply HR procedures, policies and processes;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Experience working with HRIS systems;
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task and prioritize;
  • Service-oriented with the ability to communicate with employees of all levels;
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a high volume, dynamic, fast-paced team environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities;
  • High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism; must be able to handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
