Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: Experience an asset or equivalent experience Tasks Load and unload goods Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Pay and receive payments for goods Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Bill of lading Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Trip reports Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Large workload Overtime required Repetitive tasks Sitting Personal suitability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Flexibility Organized Reliability Team player Green job Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 hours per week
