By joining our team in Lévis, you will have the opportunity to be part of a passionate group of professionals contributing to the estimation of complex and large-scale heavy civil engineering projects.Under the supervision of the pre-construction manager, the estimator will bid on various projects such as mass excavation, drilling and blasting, underground infrastructure, hydroelectric projects, buried lines, gas pipelines, and much more.Our civil and infrastructure project estimating team plays a critical and strategic role for its division and for Pomerleau by bidding on and ideally winning key projects, allowing our project teams to then carry out the work on site.Your responsibilities will include:Analyzing plans and specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project.Acting as the lead for a complete bid and collaborating with a team of estimators at all levels, calculators, planners, and engineers to compile a comprehensive estimate within a given timeframe.Participating in defining work methods and assembling qualification documents.Establishing a preliminary schedule of work, including the necessary resources for the construction site.Creating a list of specialties, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers likely to contribute to the success of your estimate.Assembling the study in the estimating software, incorporating work teams, work rates, quantities to be completed, supplier and subcontractor prices, etc.Analyzing the project in detail to anticipate construction methods and associated risks.Participating in the submission closing process and the transfer meeting with the project team.In short, you will be a key player from the beginning to the end of an estimation, acting as an expert in the field of civil engineering.What YOU Will BringHold a bachelor's degree or a technical degree in civil engineering or any other relevant field of study; Have experience in estimation and/or project implementation in civil engineering; Possess a good understanding of various fields of expertise within civil engineering; Have knowledge of the Autodesk suite; Have an intermediate level of English proficiency; Demonstrate good teamwork skills; Exhibit versatility, analytical thinking, and a desire to contribute long-term to an estimation team focused on achieving results; Have an unwavering passion for diverse and challenging civil projects!Why Choose PomerleauCompetitive salary 4 weeks’ vacation Group insurance (including a health spending account!) Group RRSPEmployer paid monthly public transit passFitness Membership or Activity Reimbursement Employee assistance programExciting training opportunitiesDynamic culture Exciting career opportunitiesSummer hours all year longAccess to telemedicine platform Dialogue for freeNew remote work policyWhat are you waiting for?
