The company has won multiple Emmy and VES awards for its work.Recent projects include Avatar: The Way of Water, House of the Dragon, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, For All Mankind, Masters of the Air, and many more.The Third Floor is actively seeking an enthusiastic Lead Compositing Artist with a proven track record in utilizing Nuke as their primary tool. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide leadership to a team of compositors and foster collaboration with other divisions within the Animation Department. We prioritize fluid and efficient work processes. Candidates with experience in feature film animation projects and proficiency in Nuke Scripting are considered to possess essential skills for this position. Full Time. Remote Position. Must be located in British Columbia. Responsibilities: Oversee the entire compositing process from conceptualization to final delivery. Composite and track shots to integrate all the layers, including computer-generated elements. Maintain meticulous quality standards through regular reviews of compositing work. Help establish and manage compositing timelines and deliverables in coordination with project managers. Lead and mentor the compositing team, providing guidance and support. Optimize workflows through scripting in Nuke for enhanced efficiency. Collaborate with departments for seamless visual integration. Essential Skills: Proven experience as a Compositing Artist, with a strong portfolio reflecting diverse projects. Expertise in using Nuke for compositing tasks. Proficient in scripting within Nuke for workflow optimization. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and articulation of creative ideas. Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing compositing challenges and technical issues. Demonstrated leadership qualities, including mentorship and team management skills. Adaptability to changing project requirements and effective management under tight deadlines. Knowledge of 3D compositing and particle systems in Nuke a plus. Knowledge of Lighting is a bonus. Personal attributes: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Able to take direction and work under tight deadlines. Clean and organized Nuke files and understands work flow. The pay scale is between $35 - 95 CAD / hour based on experience, skillset and other factors, plus additional Perks and Benefits.
