AZ Owner Operator

GFL Environmental is looking for an AZ Owner Operator to support our Line Haul Division out of South Western Ontario. The AZ Owner Operator will be primarily responsible for transporting solid waste from transfer stations to various landfills and daily runs to Michigan.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily runs to MichiganTransport solid waste from transfer stations to various LandfillsInspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues to ensure safe operation and public safetyReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, equipment damage and property damage when applicableDocument and log driving/break periods in Kilometers on Daily Trip Report and E-logs in accordance with DOT & MTO RegulationsDocument and retain records of all tractor maintenance and complete monthly reportingRetain copies of fuel, and border toll receipts, as well as pick-up and delivery tickets to complete daily paperworkComply with applicable legislation including safe operation of vehicles, carriage of goods, Hours of Service, occupational health and safety, customs and immigration, weights and dimensionsApproximately 600Km-1100km a day, 10-14 hour runsHome nightlyInsurance, plates, authorities provided by GFLKnowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesValid AZ LicenseMust be able to cross US border in a CMV dailyWaste Hauling experience would be considered an assetHeavy hauling experience is considered an asset3+ years of related AZ driving experienceAbility to provide Driver’s Abstract, CVOR Abstract, and criminal background checkGreat attitude and work ethicKnowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsHigh level of personal integrityProfessional/mature demeanor under stressful situationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment#GFLTALENT
