About this role Carrier Commercial Service is actively recruiting for a Red Seal Journeyperson to join the team in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate needs to have HVAC/R system experience with proven problem-solving capabilities and support the light and heavy applied HVAC service market segments in Commercial and Industrial buildings. We are looking for a team player with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, customer commitments and have excellent time management, and planning/organizational skills.As a Red Seal Journeyperson, you will be working onsite at various customers in the UA516 Union jurisdiction. Membership in the UA516 Union is mandatory. At Carrier, we value our partnerships with our Union workers and are committed to providing payment for all travel time incurred; plus, Carrier has an on-call schedule that helps ensure better work-life balance, with a convenient on-call rotation being held every.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain positive professional customer relationsProvide proactive maintenance and repair services for Chillers, other HVAC and Refrigeration EquipmentSupport Centrifugal, Scroll equipment, multiple technologies, controls, and VSD systemsMaintain Carrier Factory (OEM) Field Mechanical Services for Startup and Warranty activitiesTroubleshoot and solve equipment problems; develop and implement solutions to prevent future occurrenceIdentify, estimate, quote repair and upgrade solutions to extend equipment life and save energyComply with and re-enforce Environment, Health and Safety Policies and ProceduresBasic Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDRed Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic or Certified Journeyperson HVAC TechnicianMust be a Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic (ODP)Gas A Ticket5 plus years of experience with HVAC systems and maintenanceValid driver’s licensePreferred Qualifications Gas B TicketBuilding Controls experienceCustomer focusedEnglish communication verbal and writtenRSRCAR
