This position will start as a one-year hire to cover maternity leave, but employment may be shifted to a permanent basis if warranted.

Starting wage :$20/hour + comprehensive benefit package

Location and Time : Monday-Friday from either 8am-4pm or 8am-2pm at our Head Office in Port Coquitlam.

Due to the small size of the office, this is a job where you will get experience working within the entire scope of the business. You will work directly with the President/Owner, Accountant, Sales Director, Chief Operating Officer, Supplies/Inventory Manager, Head of Advertising, and other executive/managerial staff. Daily tasks can include:

  • Assisting executive-level staff with various tasks
  • Keeping in regular contact with the team via Slack (a messenger program)
  • Social Media - preparing & scheduling posts / responding to inquiries that come in
  • Assisting with inventory, supply orders and shipments
  • Organizing & cleaning the office
  • Answering phones (approximately 15 calls per day)
  • Taking payments & preparing bank deposits
  • Collecting & organizing the mail
  • Phoning overdue clients with payment reminders
  • Basic bookkeeping tasks (accounts payable & accounts receivable)
  • Document editing (Microsoft 365 Suite mainly)
  • Working as a team on various projects

Experience is always a bonus, but is not required. We provide all the training you will need. We are looking for someone with potential.
