Senior Human Resources Advisor (Business Partner)

Key responsibilities of this role are:Acts as strategic partner with client groups. Proactively collaborates with Managers to understand business challenges and service expectations, and translate them into HR solutions or initiatives.Provides a broad range of Human Resources consulting services including employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection and employment/termination as well as assisting with client group staff planning and compensation.Provides technical expertise and strategic guidance to managers and other specialists on all areas of talent management including, but not limited to, workforce and succession planning; talent reviews; employee engagement, policy interpretation, HR best practices, employment standards and other federal and provincial applicable employment legislation.Coaches managers on resolving more sensitive employee relations issues while managing the risk and level of impact to the individual and the business and ensuring compliance with legislation.Develops salary action recommendations consistent with salary administration guidelines n conjunction with the Compensation and Pensions Specialist.Researches and prepares recommendations relevant to HR initiativesProject manage a variety of HR initiatives including identifying scope, resources, outcomes, communication, implementation, and budget management. Projects may include stakeholders from other departments.Works with various internal groups, such as Communications and Marketing, to develop, implement and maintain a strong employer brand. This includes communication through various channels such as social media, the corporate website and print.Evaluates jobs as part of the Job Evaluation Committee using the Hay Group methodology to establish salary grade.Communicates and delivers corporate initiatives and changes to manager client groups.Provides direction and assistance in recruitment and selection for mid to senior level positions.Manages full cycle recruitment with managers and candidates when required. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or college diploma preferably in HR managementChartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation an asset7+ years’ progressive experience in Human ResourcesExpert knowledge of Employment Standards Act and Regulations, and other applicable provincial and federal legislationStrong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills and critical thinkingExperience partnering with leaders at all levels within the organizationStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organizationExperience working in financial services or sales/service industry would be an asset.Change Management and Project Management experience an asset Pay TransparencyPay transparency is an important characteristic of our recruitment process and overall BlueShore culture which supports a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.The target base salary range of this role is $93,000 - $115,000/year.
