Workforce Inc. is seeking experienced Core Technicians to assist a local client in Atikokan, ON. Reporting to the Exploration Logistics Coordinator, the Exploration Core Technician is part of the Ontario Exploration team working on various exploration sites and collaborates with other members of the division. They are responsible for supporting surface exploration work on the properties. Responsibilities: - Foster a positive Health and Safety culture with contractors and coworkers - Participate in Health and Safety meetings and ensure that environmental and safety protocols are followed on the work sites - Conduct Health and Safety inspections at drilling site - Complete technical logging of drill core - Assist geologists in logging activities - Support the maintenance of tools and buildings - Manage equipment and vehicles inventory (ATVs, snowmobiles, trucks) - Manage drill core and rock samples inventory - Collaborate with geological and technical colleagues to ensure consistency Requirements: - Methodological and rigorous approach - Physical ability to manipulate charges of about 50 pounds regularly - Basic Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills an asset - Experience operating a loader or forklift an asset - Experience working in a multicultural environment - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team - Good written and oral communication Schedule: TBD Pay Rate: $25 per hour We thank you for your interest.
