We are looking for an experienced PRODUCTION LEAD HAND to join our growing team! Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position will be the first point of contact for Production Associates. This is a day shift position with the hours being Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm. WHO YOU ARE: You have a strong mechanical aptitude & thrive in a fast-paced work environment. You are calm under pressure and have excellent problem-solving skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Coordinate production teams, including the daily organization of crew tasks. Train new employees in role specific tasks. Ensure quality control & safety standards are adhered to. Conduct ongoing safety training and hazard assessments as needed. Demonstrate and initiate continuous improvement activities and work habits. Be the first point of contact for employee concerns & needs and redirect as needed. Perform assembly line production tasks as required. Requirements WHAT YOU HAVE: Experience in production assembly preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Leadership experience at a "working Lead Hand" level. Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience. Ability to train. mentor and coach others. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including safety and quality standards. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: You are physically fit, energetic, and self-motivated. You have the ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis. You have a “safety first” mindset and understand the importance of upholding safety standards. You are comfortable using computers and can navigate systems efficiently. You have experience with continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen) and manufacturing concepts.
