POSITION PURPOSE:Reporting to the Program Manager, Digital Communications, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing videos and digital photography for Corporate-led projects, assets and events; ensuring new video and digital photography communication products are current, updated as needed and align with the Corporate approach; and providing photography and multimedia support to Regional Council and Senior Management. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Conceptualizes and develops through to production a range of communication videos, photos and graphics that promote and support program activities of the Corporation Provides electronic media expertise to assist with digital media that supports continuity, consistency and effectiveness of messaging Develops project plans and scripted templates that align with the Region’s vision and requirements Identifies and supports the development of corporate communications efficiencies, support systems, controls, directives and improvements to maintain and enhance the Region’s presence and to ensure stakeholder communication across the departments is aligned and effective, including corporate communication management systems; corporate-led initiatives; corporate-wide publications and communications plans, supporting the Region’s brand and management. Chairs cross-departmental Community of Practice, providing leadership and guidance to maximize the Region’s profile and impact through visual and multimedia products Liaises with internal contacts to obtain information required for developing and producing electronic media materials. Arranges photo and video shoots including booking equipment and scheduling time with required persons. Liaises with external agencies regarding collaboration on projects and ensures that consistent and effective communication materials are developed. Ensures that services provided meet Regional customer service standards. Liaises with Departmental clients. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with Branch, Department and/or Corporate objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Film and/or Video Production, Photography, Media Communications or a related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in creating corporate videos and taking a wide variety of photographs with ranging subject matter. Demonstrated experience using current video and photo cameras and audio recording devices. Demonstrated knowledge of effective and current communication strategies, particularly relating to electronic media. Thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability in digital editing and related software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Media Encoder and Microsoft Office applications. Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and reliable vehicle for use on corporate business. Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including communication, innovation, teamwork and collaboration, and personal ownership.
