Responsibilities Communicating (via phone/text/geotab) with drivers to advise their next pick-up and deliveries. Working closely with the drivers on any problems they may encounter. Updating shipment status in the dispatch system (Truckmate). Determining the best routes and order of pick-ups & deliveries. Working very closely with fellow dispatchers to co-ordinate the daily activities. Advising Customer Service Representatives of any issues so the CSR may communicate directly with clients. Verifying the availability of containers (grounded? ). Arranging the return of the empty containers. Qualifications - Excellent knowledge of English. Fluency in French is a major asset. - At least one year's experience in a trucking or freight forwarding company. - Team player. Able to work well with others - Good communicator - Minimum high school diploma - Knowledge of Truckmate software (asset, we will train you) - Good attitude and willingness to learn.
