In addition to supervising the sales team, this position will require growing key customer relationships in the region. The role will focus on implementing a plan to manage the profitability, product mix, pricing strategies, and developing new business opportunities while meeting the growth targets through the sales team. How you will make contributions that matter:Achieve the gross margin and volume targets as assigned to your territory.Develop and grow the Saputo Book of Business through new business acquisition and manage some accounts when required.Support and lead the local sales team to meet their targets.Collaborate with various departments within Saputo such as Sales, Finance, and Distribution to maximize customer opportunities.Develop and maintain knowledge of the local market and community.Initiate and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement and growth throughout the geographical market area.Maintain a high level of competitor knowledge in terms of products, pricing, discounts, promotions and sales.Develop territory growth plans and execute these plans through the course of the year.Perform other duties as assigned.You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:A minimum of three years’ experience managing direct reports is preferredPeople management duties including coaching, mentoring, training, and developing a team of sales representatives to exceed customer expectations.Track, measure, and report on key performance metrics for sales.Provide consistent feedback on performance metrics in a one-on–one format.Create and maintain a positive work environment and a high-performance team culture.Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.Proficient computer skills and comfortable with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.Sales experience, preferably in food service.Post-secondary education in business preferredWe support and care for our employees and their families by providing: Competitive salariesAdvantageous corporate agreementsFull range of group insurance benefitsGroup retirement pension plan with employer contributionPurchase option of company stocksGroup RRSPHealth and wellness program in the workplaceAssistance program for employees and their familiesSaputo products at a discounted priceOther Requirements:The candidate will show leadership and initiative, demonstrate entrepreneurial flare, and will be self-motivated.
