Senior Director, Business Process Optimization

Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Business Process Optimization to lead our organization's efforts in streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the VP, Commercial Operations, the Senior Director will play a pivotal role in optimizing our business processes to achieve strategic objectives and establish strong process culture to set up the organization for accelerated growth. Strategy Development: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop a comprehensive business process optimization strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement across all functional areas. Engage with leadership and PMO on strategic planning and prioritization of initiatives. Leadership and Team Management: Lead a small team of process improvement specialists, providing guidance, mentorship and support o drive performance excellence.   Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration within the team to maximize productivity and effectiveness. Process Analysis and Design: Conduct thorough assessments of existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Design and implement optimized processes, workflows, and procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability. Change Management: Champion change management initiatives to ensure smooth implementation of process improvements across the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to anticipate and address potential challenges, mitigate risks, and facilitate adoption of new processes and technologies. Develop and implement an organizational readiness model Performance Measurement and Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of process optimization efforts. Monitor and analyze performance data, identifying trends, patterns, and areas requiring further optimization or intervention. Technology Enablement: Collaborate with IT and other functional teams to leverage technology solutions and automation tools to optimize business processes. Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency improvements. Continuous Improvement Culture: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive ongoing process optimization initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Proven experience (8+ years) in business process optimization, performance improvement, or related fields, with a track record of driving significant business impact. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives. Expertise in process analysis, redesign, and implementation methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, BPM, or similar frameworks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach to process optimization. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Change management expertise, with a demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and manage resistance effectively. Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple departments. Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools, as well as experience with process automation and workflow management systems.
