Place of Work:SWLSB PSD Office, , montée Lesage, Rosemère (Québec) J7A 4Y6Status of Position:% Full-Time Regular (35 hours)Salary Scale:Class 07 – from $84, to $,Fringe Benefits• 30 to 35 days paid vacation• Two weeks off during the holiday season• Special leave days for work-life balance• Pension plan• Health insurance plan• Employee and family assistance program• Possibility of occasional teleworkImmediate Supervisor:The Assistant Director of Pedagogical ServicesThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of both in-house professional services as well as those rendered by external partners. You will also be responsible for reviewing clinical recommendations for students with special needs. In addition, you will be required to:• Manage the Homeschooling Team composed of consultants and support staff;• Coordinate all placements in specialized external schools and act as the liaison with these establishments;• Liaise with the Material Resources and Transportation Department to establish plans for students with specialized needs;• Work with in-school professionals and supervise the processes related to the allocation of student difficulty codes, derogations, modifications and exemptions;• Supervise the professionals providing clinical services at the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board;• Review students’ academic, medical and neuropsychological reports and validate/provide recommendations regarding accommodations, modifications and external placements;• Coordinate with school teams to help them identify difficulties, explore solutions and provide recommendations for support;• Provide advice and support to parents;• Work in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Pedagogical Services on tasks related to special needs students at Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS• Hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study certifying a minimum three-year university program or hold a senior executive or senior staff position in a school board for which an undergraduate degree is required;• Have five years of relevant experience;• Hold a Québec Teaching Licence.CONSIDERED AN ASSET• Graduate or postgraduate degree in a clinical field (psychology, speech language pathology, occupational therapy);• Member of a professional order (Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology);• Mastery of the English and French languages;• Valid driver’s licence.
