Telecommunications Osp Foreman (Osp)

Tall City Telecom Solutions (TCTS) is seeking an experienced Outside Plant (OSP) Foreman for our Coquitlam office.

As the Foreman you, along with the Project Manager, are responsible for your crews needs to ensure that you can safely deliver based on the scope of work and within the timeline that the Project Manager has set but without compromising the quality.

A Foreman is an ambassador. Excellent communication skills and your experience of 5+ years as a team leader along with producing work of the highest standards will be the keys to your success.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Foreman and a team leader. :

• Clean, class 5 Driver’s License (with Air preferable) and bucket truck experience a must. :

• Comfortable and able to work in confined spaces or at heights in outdoor setting, including all weather conditions.

• Have a flexible work schedule, be able to commit to overtime.

• Have a good working knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and specifications and able to interpret and work from CAD drawings, engineering specifications, construction packages and other drawings.

• Install and commission fiber cabling.

• Experience with Install and commission of copper cable.

• Perform OTDR Test and trouble shooting.

• Perform Fiber splicing and connectorizing, OTDR test and troubleshooting of telecommunications fiber network systems, etc.

• Perform a more advanced degree of hardware construction using drawings and specifications. perform additions, removals, wiring connections, and modifications on live equipment and circuits.

• Maintain tools, test equipment and vehicle to ensure proper working order and adherence to safety regulations.

• Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring some judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations to Technicians and/or supervisors.

• Coordinate with other technicians and other groups.

• Maintain a safe work environment, meeting all health and safety requirements including compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, training, and documentation.

• Complete all necessary training for First Aid and Confined Spaces.

• Finish assigned work package as schedule and fulfill the work promise.
