Construction Superintendent

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Construction and Construction Manager, the Superintendent will oversee all aspects of project management on worksites, ensuring compliance with design, specifications, regulations, timelines, and safety codes. Responsibilities: Lead construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, regulations, and safety codes. Plan, implement, and monitor construction plans. Assist with project estimates and budget development. Coordinate subcontractor activities and manage site start-up. Ensure all necessary permits are obtained. Enforce safe work practices and procedures onsite. Coordinate and direct all workers. Maintain project schedules and deadlines. Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager to resolve issues. Complete jobsite administration duties. Supervise onsite workers, providing feedback and enforcing policies. Resolve conflicts and create contingency plans. Oversee construction to meet design, budget, and schedule. Assist workers onsite as needed. Implement quality control measures. Pursue cost-effective measures to improve project performance. Ensure building inspections meet client specifications. Perform other duties as required. Experience & Requirements: Preferably a degree or diploma in a construction-related field. 5-10 years of Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent experience. Experience in social purpose-built housing. Proficiency in envelope supervision and interior finishing of multi-family buildings. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Strong understanding of residential construction trades and techniques. Excellent management, planning, and leadership skills. Knowledge of workplace compliance regulations. Commitment to teamwork and strong communication skills. Familiarity with Procore and Microsoft Project is a plus. Dedication to health and safety. Superior leadership and negotiation skills. Understanding of contracts and contractor management. Knowledge of OH&S regulations and residential building codes. Proven success in project delivery and management. Effective communication skills.
