Estimation Administrator

Reporting to a Senior Estimator, the Estimation Administrator will provide support and perform administrative duties for the Company’s estimators. Location: 100 Citigate Drive, Ottawa, ON RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviewing bid sites daily and list potential projects for the Chief Estimator and Estimating Manager to review; Projects that fit the profile for bidding will be added to the bid board; Download all the bid documentation and file them in the estimation SharePoint folder. Completing all job opening tasks in SharePoint and SAP. This includes setting up projects in SAP and assisting estimators in pushing cost plans from InEight Estimate (Hard Dollar) into SAP, as well as implementing standardized job opening process across the estimation division. Collecting all successful bid contracts and circulating them for internal signatures and then handing them off to Contract’s Coordinator to send out for owner signatures. All Contracts to be entered into the Contracts tracking system. Setting up external subcontracts; Inputting pricing, terms & conditions, and subcontractor data into CCA 1 subcontract template; Tracking and sending completed template packages to the Contract’s Coordinator through our SharePoint system. Tracking all bid closures and ensuring the estimators enter all bid results into SharePoint to ensure we track accurate and complete information; Assisting estimators in entering the results if needed. Printing sets of drawings and documents when required. Learning Estimation Software InEight Estimate (Hard Dollar), as well as SAP software. Assist in weekly estimating meetings and taking minutes. Maintaining the bid board within SharePoint with updated closing dates, and documentation. Creating Sales Transfer Orders (STO’s) for all aggregate materials in SAP for all successful bids. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point and Outlook, and Sharepoint. Excellent writing and communication skills. Working knowledge of SAP software an asset. Excellent document control and organization skills. Adaptability and ability to learn new software (InEight Estimate, SAP). Construction experience is an asset.
