On behalf of our client, Venor is recruiting for a Field Supervisor. The client is a well-established global organization in the manufacturing, installation and maintenance of capital equipment. Reporting to the Division Operations Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for field operations, customer satisfaction, and overall general business management. This role provides customer support, reviews specifications, conducts site visits, monitors and updates project management documentation, as well as supports the management of material and costs including the delivery of parts. The role will assist with the delivery of various health and safety initiatives and support health and safety processes. What you’ll be doing: Lead a team of technicians through providing mentorship, guidance and constructive feedback to promote employee development. Meet project deadlines and all financial performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), Conduct field education training ensuring that we create and maintain a safe working environment. Perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections, and develop site safety/logistics plans. Coordinate all material deliveries and issuing of purchase orders. Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with co-workers, field employees, clients and others in contact with the job. Forecast and schedule labour resources ensuring successful project completion, maintaining customer quality assurance, and improving efficiencies. Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates. Conduct regular safety observations and ensure correct usage of PPE. Ensure compliance with requirements issued by local and government authorities. Provide technical support to the sales team for the purposes site visits and pre-bid assessment and to support accuracy of quote both technically and financially. Interpret customer concerns and mobilize the necessary internal resources in such a way that customer satisfaction is assured while costs are minimized. Ensure customer needs or enquiries are met in a prompt, professional manner by providing clear communications. As a successful candidate you will have 3 – 5 years of relevant construction and maintenance experience of capital equipment and a post-secondary degree. You will lead with integrity and foster a collaborative approach with the team built on mutual trust and respect. You will successfully manage the Division by utilizing resources available for continuous improvement in all aspects of the business operation including but not limited to financial, customer, internal processes and learning and growth. As an ideal candidate you will demonstrate the ability to listen and understand other perspectives and modify one’s approach to enhance communication and achieve results.
