Distribution Center Manager Job Description The Distribution Center Manager supervises operations at the DC located at 400 Joseph-Carrier (Vaudreuil-Dorion) and oversees all inbound and outbound inventory as well as all associated documentation, including that required for goods sourced overseas. The Distribution Center Manager must have exceptional organizational, time management, and strategic planning skills to ensure timely and friction-free operations while effectively achieving long-term goals. Remuneration of $70K or more, depending on experience.Responsibilities of a Distribution Center ManagerEstablishing strong communication and partnership with members and logistics professionalsDeveloping, implementing, evaluating and enforcing policies and proceduresDeveloping processes for receiving product, utilizing equipment, managing inventory, and shipping productDeveloping and implementing effective warehouse layout Managing inventory to maximize productivity at scaleMonitoring quality control and package inspectionStreamlining processes for greater efficiencyEnsure that the operation has all of the necessary equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks etc.)Lead initiatives and on-going programs to ensure a safe workplacePrepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for auditsKeep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisationReport any discrepanciesOperate warehouse vehicles and equipmentFollow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulationsDistribution Center Manager Job RequirementsExperience with inventory, supply chain, and/or Distribution Center operationsDrive accountability for achieving operational metrics for inventory, quality and on-time delivery.Proficiency in Distribution Center management software systemsAbility to lift heavy objectsCurrent forklift licenceBilingual French/English5-years experience in a similar roleExperience in implementing warehouse software systems – a plusExperience with QuickBooks, or a proven proficiency in overall software applications If you feel you are qualified for this position, please send resume along with a summary of why you feel you would be a good fit.
