Az Owner Operator

GFL Environmental is looking for an AZ Owner Operator to support our Line Haul Division out of South Western Ontario. The AZ Owner Operator will be primarily responsible for transporting solid waste from transfer stations to various landfills and daily runs to Michigan. Key Responsibilities Daily runs to Michigan Transport solid waste from transfer stations to various Landfills Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues to ensure safe operation and public safety Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, equipment damage and property damage when applicable Document and log driving/break periods in Kilometers on Daily Trip Report and E-logs in accordance with DOT & MTO Regulations Document and retain records of all tractor maintenance and complete monthly reporting Retain copies of fuel, and border toll receipts, as well as pick-up and delivery tickets to complete daily paperwork Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation of vehicles, carriage of goods, Hours of Service, occupational health and safety, customs and immigration, weights and dimensions Approximately 600Km-1100km a day, 10-14 hour runs Home nightly Insurance, plates, authorities provided by GFL Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Valid AZ License Must be able to cross US border in a CMV daily Waste Hauling experience would be considered an asset Heavy hauling experience is considered an asset 3+ years of related AZ driving experience Ability to provide Driver’s Abstract, CVOR Abstract, and criminal background check Great attitude and work ethic Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations High level of personal integrity Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment GFLTALENT We thank you for your interest.
