Avionics Engineer | $64K – $79K

We are looking for an Avionics Engineer to provide technical avionics technical expertise in support of all electronic and electrical designs and systems. within aerospace and defense.Salary range: $64,000 – $79,000 + 100% employer-paid benefits and RRSP matching program after 3 monthsSchedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am start Responsibilities: Locate technical information regarding flight operations, aircraft electronic and electrical systems, and applicable Transport Canada and/or FAA avionics regulationsDevelop technical orders (TOs) to direct technical repair activities on a customer’s aircraft, interpreting mechanical, electrical and electronic drawings, producing electrical CAD drawings and following all engineering policies and proceduresMake appropriate modifications to technical applications, designs, specifications and requirementsProvide original and modified avionics and electrical designs for existing aircraft systems and/or designs for new installationsWrite and interpret aircraft electrical specificationsEnsure that all modifications are approved by Transport Canada and the FAAMonitor and direct the use of avionics calibration test equipment, and train technicians in its proper useInterpret the test equipment needed to perform a given taskDetermine where to purchase or rent appropriate test equipmentBe familiar with safety and security policies and procedures and ensure that all workplace behavior complies with these policies and proceduresPerform other duties as required Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Avionics Engineering or Technology3-5 years’ experience in aircraft Electrical/Avionics engineeringExcellent communication skills: verbal and writtenExcellent interpersonal skillsKnowledge of Engineering principlesKnowledge of project management fundamentalsKnowledge of Global Positioning Systems (GPS)Knowledge of Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS II)Knowledge of digital instruments, digital communications and high-level navigation systemsMust be Canadian residents or permanent residents Kirsten GreenRecruitment Consultant Fuze HR Solutions Inc.666 Burrard Street – Suite 500 Vancouver, BC V6C 3P6 #BRBC
