Overview We're in search of a dynamic Communications and Donor Engagement Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Development, this role will be instrumental in nurturing donor relationships, enhancing stewardship and recognition initiatives, and collaborating with SJHC team members to bolster awareness and support mission promotion efforts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with team members to enhance and execute donor stewardship and recognition initiatives. Assist in developing and delivering impactful donor communications, including reports, mailings, videos, and other materials. Coordinate digital content creation, ensuring posts are scheduled and analytics tracked, while maintaining standards of quality, accuracy, and relevance. Capture compelling content at events and within our healthcare facilities to authentically convey our story. Develop content for and coordinate campaigns to raise awareness for fundraising initiatives, such as the Spilt the Pot Lottery. Conduct research and analysis to bolster mission promotion efforts. Provide exceptional service and cultivate positive relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, SJHC employees, and community members. Perform other duties as required, including occasional evening and weekend work. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Diploma/degree in public relations, communications, marketing, graphic design or related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Superior organizational abilities and detail-oriented approach to tasks General knowledge of industry standards and best practice, and practical experience in the charitable landscape is preferred Proven creative and strategic thinking; Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects while delivering on schedule; Ability to operate with a high degree of professionalism and skilled at maintaining composure under pressure; Ability to lead by example and achieve the desired results by supporting others; Valid driver’s license and daily access to a reliable vehicle; Bilingualism is an asset. COVID-19 Vaccination is mandatory to work in our facility. Candidate Criteria Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field. Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate. Candidate must be 18 years of age or older. Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Once hired, the candidate must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
