The successful applicant will be involved in an Alaskan based field program with responsibilities as follows:Active participation in maintaining Matrix’s strong safety cultureAssist with the field coordination and execution of the field programSupport execution of well installations, water sampling, packer testing, and instrumentation installationManage logistics, shipping and material management for the field programIn-field data collection and preliminary analysisTravel as required to support field programs – this role will be 100% of time being spent in the field with two weeks on and two weeks off rotation from late May to early October 2024What We Are Looking ForWillingness to work a contract-hourly position for a 5-month period, with the possibility to transition to full time or in geology, hydrogeology, or a B. Eng in geological engineering or another applicable fieldMinimum 2 years of related experience in well testing packer testing, pumping tests, injection tests etc.)Comfortable working around heavy machineryComfortable living in remote locations and in a work campAbility to work with computer software as well as instrumentation softwareService orientated, with the ability to work with a diverse group of contractors and project personnelFlexibility in being able to work on a day or night shiftFunction effectively as part of a collaborative teamService-oriented and have the ability to multi-taskCapable of problem solving in the fieldHave the ability to lift up to 50lbs, and the ability to work and hike in rugged terrainA valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions and clean driving recordWhy Choose MatrixAt Matrix you will be part of an amazing community of collaborative people who live our and bring industry-leading technical expertise to their work every day.
