We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician/ Millwright. The ideal candidate for the position is detail-oriented, electrically and mechanically inclined and willing to take on responsibilities for the maintenance department and special projects as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for repairing and maintaining manufacturing machinery that involves electrical and mechanical components.
  • Develop preventative maintenance plans and technical notes for maintenance of various electromechanical equipment.
  • Maintain a stock of hardware and spare components, a complete inventory of rapid response repair kits for critical electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated wire processing equipment, robotic metal fabrication and processing equipment, conveyor systems, other electrical related systems.
  • Responsible for using precision measuring instruments, metalworking machines, soldering equipment, and hand tools to assemble, test, calibrate, and repair parts and machines.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a machine or a piece of equipment.

Ability to work in different sites within the Lower Mainland

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • Technology Certificate or Diploma from a technical institution (Electro-Mechanical, or similar)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in working with electro-mechanical systems and devices.
  • Proficient in using a wide variety of tools and instrumentation such as DMM, ammeter, hand tools, power tools, and predictive maintenance tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to improve machine performance.
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent record keeping skills and ability to coordinate monitor and support administrative and technical duties related to projects.
