Ambipar is a multidisciplinary firm that provides a wide range of environmental, emergency response, industrial services, marine services, and training.For more information on Ambipar, follow this link: https://ambipar.com/usa/ambipar-response/THE OPPORTUNITY:Ambipar Response Environmental Services (R Inc.) is currently seeking Junior Environmental Consultants based out of Swift Current or surrounding areas.WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF:Execute scopes of work and cost estimates under the supervision of the Project Manager;Ensure project requirements are met in a timely and effective mannerParticipating in technical and safety programs, quality assurance and quality controlAssist with execution of Phase 2 and Phase 3 site assessmentsComplete detailed site assessments and groundwater monitoringCoordinate and supervise tree plantingManage and meet all client and regulatory ground disturbance requirements;Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives and SOP’sImplement internal and client safety programsRemain current with environmental legislation and regulatory updates, provide updated information as it becomes available to staffREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Reclamation or similar discipline;Professional designation or articling to obtain is considered and asset;Minimum 1 year of relevant field experience;Knowledge of the water act and experience with wetland classification is an asset.Knowledge and experience with the 2010 Reclamation Criteria and Guidelines and the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Remediation Guidelines would be an assetUnderstanding of the upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in AB, BCExperience with reclamation and remediation on private and public landsStrong soil characterization and vegetation identification skillsGood physical health with willingness to travel and work in the field for extended periodsValid driver’s licenseValid Pesticide Applicators License an assetDESIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIESStrong commitment to customer satisfactionPossess strong verbal and written communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills and is very detail oriented and organizedPrecise attention to detail and ability to produce professional quality deliverables on time and on budgetProficient with Microsoft Office and database entryDoes this sound like you?
